Video Overview
MEPSKING, a newcomer in the FPV drone motor market, recently sent me their 2207 Motor 1750KV for review. These motors boast impressive specs at a great price. In this review, I’ll assess how they compare to existing manufacturers, who they are targeted at, and most importantly, whether they perform well.
Unbiased Evaluation
Before diving in, it’s important to note that I haven’t signed any contract with MEPSKING, nor have they influenced this review. They simply provided the drone motors for evaluation, and I’ll be offering my unbiased opinion, as with all product reviews on my channel.
MEPS 2207 Motor Overview
The MEPS SZ2207 1750 KV motor features a unibell design with a hollow titanium prop shaft. It’s available in various KV options and colors, including a striking fluorescent green. Upon inspection, the motor appears well-made, weighing approximately 34.5 grams and priced at a reasonable $20. Additionally, it comes with essential accessories like prop nuts, mounting bolts, and washers, including two sizes of mounting bolts for versatility.
Feature of MEPS 2207 Motor
One notable aspect highlighted in the data sheets is the motor’s efficiency, particularly at mid-range throttle settings. Although I won’t conduct bench tests, I plan to replace the motors on one of my quads for real-world testing.
Under the microscope, the motor’s components exhibit quality machining, with magnets securely mounted. The inclusion of a bolt for bell attachment facilitates easy maintenance.
Flight Test Results
During the flight test, I replaced the motors on my AOS 5 frame without adjusting any parameters. Subjectively, these motors aren’t very punchy, indicating they’re not designed for racing or aggressive acro flying. However, they excel in long-range flights on 6s batteries, providing impressive flight times even at 50 to 70 throttle.
Performance Test
The MEPSKING specs claim increased efficiency compared to average 2207 motors, a claim substantiated by my flight test results. Longer flight times serve as a relative measure of motor efficiency, making these motors a compelling option for long-range enthusiasts.
While their performance impresses, long-term durability remains uncertain. I’ll continue to monitor their performance and provide updates on their reliability.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the MEPS 2207 1750 KV motors by MEPSKING offer exceptional value for long-range FPV flying, priced affordably at $20. Their emergence in the FPV market is promising, although their success ultimately depends on product quality and customer support. I welcome your opinions on these motors and encourage you to like, subscribe, and stay tuned for future updates. Thank you for watching, and I’ll see you next time.
